The Dark Days…Where are you?!

The dark days – filled with overwhelming sorrow. The inadequacy of words to convey the restlessness of the heart. Dark clouds blot out the rays of the sun. Not a single ray of light warms your heart. Deep deep wounds. Very harsh misery. Bleeding over everything and everyone. Those nights when dawn tarries. Those days with light-filled darkness. Where the smile on the face is not a reflection of the turmoil of the mind…the darkest of days.

WHERE ARE YOU?! I thank you that you have granted me repentance and faith and that you have redeemed me even though deserving of your wrath and justice. I owe you everything for this, yes, but where are you? In the dark days, where are you? Why wouldn’t you dispel the clouds with a breath? Light from your mouth can drive away the deepest darkness in an instant, so why wouldn’t you? Where are you when the waves come crashing down? When the sun scurries away into hiding carrying with it my sunshine, where are you? Where are you in my darkest days?

And my heart is warm in an instant, even in the darkness. ‘WITH YOU…With you. Everyday, with you. Broken with you…Crushed with you…Bloodied with you…Tearful with you…Grieving with you! Where am I in your darkest days? With you!’

Hello, Friend forever 🙂  Sit with me a while.

  1. He’s still with you my friend. The dark days though very unbearable, he’s there. Exodus 2 vs 24 is one of the most comforting verses I have ever come across.
    1) He heard: even though he’s quiet, he listens. He is aware. He sees the attack on his people. Doesn’t matter how long, he is already plotting a response in motion. The longer the better. He takes pity on us. Joel 2 vs 17 and 18 show a weeping and a response. It is written… I am sending you grain(abundance) new wine(the Holy Spirit, renewed hope and intimacy with God and trials giving way to Joy) and Olive oil (anointing and richness) enough to satisfy you fully. Never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations. Vs 32 also says when we call on him we would be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance.
    2) He Remembered his Covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: They would become a nation and possess the land of Cannan. God’s promises never fail. His covenant gives liberty and life, it remains forever. It does not matter how slow he’s actions are, the glory of the new covenant is ever increasing. Reading the coming of the flood, learning Noahs Journey with God, I saw that When God establishes a covenant with us, he always gives us a sign of his promise. When he remembers, he acts mercifully to save. He sends the wind (his spirit). He recreates just as he created from Chaos.
    3) He looked on the Isrealites and was Concerned about them: He knew the purpose of Moses. He knew he was a catalyst that will lead his people from Egypt to the promise land. You see the isrealites didn’t even know that Moses was born for a reason. God was silent because he was cooking up Moses to be the perfect taste for his people. He did not need him to be under cooked or overcooked. When God looked? Proverbs 15 vs 3 says The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. He sees you are a good person and trust me he’s already comforting you for Blessed are those who mourn, they will be comforted.

Remain encouraged my dear friend. God has never departed you. He’s with you forever and always 💯. The Holy Spirit will be your comforter. I am praying for you always.

I will end this with my daily Prayer : Romans 15 vs 13 ~ May the God of hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in him, so that you may over flow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    Amen.

  2. “God is same place He was when His only son suffered , crucified and was killed” this was the reply i got from my friend when i asked where God was in one of my dark days…. God is ever close in our dark days and much closer ad much as we allow Him. It is not easy as human, But the grace and Comfort to carry on and be better children, He give gives freely…
Ps. God is with you. Lots of love.

  3. Just take one step closer
Put one foot in front of the other
    You’ll get through this
Just follow the light in the darkness
    You’re gonna be ok

And when the night is closing in
Don’t give up and don’t give in
This won’t last, it’s not the end
    It’s not the end
    You’re gonna be ok.

    God has got you dear.
